Run the built-in benchmark with the resolution, preset and scaling mode you actually use. Save the average, the low points and the settings. A second run after lowering one expensive option tells you whether the problem really requires hardware or only a better preset.
When checking a replacement, require the same conditions. A 4K Ultra video and your 1080p High result do not answer the same question. Also note the test CPU when targeting a fast display, because a stronger GPU cannot remove every processor limit.
