Horizon 6 is not Horizon 5 with a new map. Its published PC floor starts at 16 GB of RAM and a required SSD, while the recommended row moves to RTX 3060 Ti, RX 6700 XT or Arc A580-class hardware. Tokyo’s dense streets also make the CPU and asset streaming relevant beside the GPU.

BUYING INTERPRETATION
Choose the GPU class by the profile you will actually use
01 · OFFICIAL-ROW STARTING POINT
Compare this class for a standard current build
GeForce RTX 5060 Ti 16GB · Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB
This group is the first current class worth checking against the recommended RTX 3060 Ti, RX 6700 XT and Arc A580 row. Confirm the exact resolution and preset in a Horizon 6 test before buying.
Use this group when 1440p or a higher refresh target is part of the purchase. Compare the same Tokyo route, traffic conditions and settings; otherwise the faster card may be credited for an easier scene.
Optional headroom, not the default Horizon 6 requirement
GeForce RTX 5070 Ti · Radeon RX 9070 XT
Reserve this tier for a verified 4K, high-refresh or multi-game need. Include the power supply and delivered Canadian price in the comparison; Horizon 6's recommended list does not by itself justify this expense.

How to read the recommendations
The first group is a cautious current equivalent to investigate, the second is the balanced buying comparison, and the third is optional headroom for a clearly heavier target. Because the official rows state no FPS, none of the groups is a guaranteed 60, 120 or 144 FPS solution.
Both official rows require an SSD and list 167 GB of available space. Leave additional room for updates rather than planning around exactly 167 GB. If the current drive is nearly full, its replacement belongs in the same budget as the GPU.
The official page describes Tokyo as the series’ largest city and the map’s densest area. For an upgrade intended to solve drops or uneven motion, test a repeatable urban route rather than choosing a quiet rural scene. Keep traffic, weather, preset and scaling mode consistent.
Also compare the test CPU with yours. The recommended row pairs its GPUs with a Core i5-12400F or Ryzen 5 5600X. A much older processor can keep a faster card from producing the improvement shown on a newer test system.
Official profiles state up to 167 GB; keep extra room for patches.

Can I choose a Horizon 6 GPU from Horizon 5 benchmarks?
No. Horizon 5 may help identify cards to research, but it does not establish performance in Horizon 6. Use the newer game's own requirements and tests.
Does Forza Horizon 6 require an SSD?
Yes. The current Steam minimum and recommended rows both state that an SSD is required and list 167 GB of available space.
Does the recommended GPU guarantee 60 FPS?
No. The published row names hardware but provides no resolution, preset or FPS target. A matching benchmark is still needed.
