GeForce 616.92: check the fixes before updating
A new driver does not automatically mean a better gaming evening. With GeForce 616.92, start with your specific problem: what stopped working, and after which version?
Analysis of NVIDIA sources. GPUStores has not tested this driver.
The problems NVIDIA says it fixed
The 616.92 notes list browser flickering, failed virtual-display creation and black screens in RDP sessions. The last two issues follow an update to 616.56. Source: official notes, page 14.
If that sounds familiar, record your installed version and keep a reproducible example before changing anything. After updating, repeat the same task. A working display is a useful outcome; it does not prove that every display problem had the same cause.

NVIDIA still flags extended-session Assassin’s Creed Shadows crashes and Judgment, Lost Judgment and Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. launch failures after updating to 616.56. The maximum-performance setting may also apply incorrectly. Source: page 15.
Do not treat this driver as a confirmed fix for those games. If your current setup works, weigh your need against the risk of disrupting it. If you rely on remote access, arrange local access to the PC before making the change.
The driver is out; game updates have their own schedule
NVIDIA released 616.92 WHQL on September 9. Its announcement schedules PUBG’s DLSS Super Resolution update for September 10 and 007 First Light’s path tracing update for September 15. Installing a driver does not unlock an unreleased game update. Official September 9 announcement.
For WARDOGS, also check the official requirements and their native-versus-upscaled targets. Driver support is not a benchmark of your computer.
