WARDOGS is in Early Access: PC requirements and Intel Arc driver guidance

WARDOGS has been available in Early Access since September 10, 2026. Here is what its official system requirements actually mean, plus the limited scope of the new Intel Arc driver support.

Documentary analysis. GPUStores has not tested the game or mod.

The minimum targets 60 FPS, with an important qualification

Steam pairs a GTX 1660 or RX 590 with the minimum profile, alongside a Core i5-8600 or Ryzen 5 3500. It calls for 16 GB of RAM and 50 GB of available space. The published target is 1080p Low at 60 FPS with upscaling. That last word matters: this is not a native-1080p promise.

The recommended profile lists an RTX 3070 or RX 6700 XT, a Core i7-12700K or Ryzen 7 5700X, and again 16 GB of RAM and 50 GB. The publisher targets native 1440p Medium above 70 FPS, or upscaled 4K Medium above 60 FPS. Those are publisher targets, not our test results.

What I would prepare before the first match

Start by recording your processor, graphics card and RAM capacity. Compare all three with the profile that fits your display. Buying a GPU because it exceeds the minimum does not answer the question about the rest of your machine.

Check free storage and connectivity too. The listing requires broadband Internet and identifies kernel-level Easy Anti-Cheat. French interface support is listed, but French voices are not. Those details are more useful before buying than a blind graphics-card recommendation.

A rough first evening does not condemn your hardware

When an online game launches, separate your observations: stuttering graphics, disconnections and waiting to join a match describe different problems. Record the exact message, your settings and what happened before blaming a component. We are not reporting a confirmed WARDOGS incident here; this is a way to sort symptoms if you encounter them.

When assessing a performance video, look for the exact CPU and GPU, resolution, settings, upscaling and game version. A quiet scene may not answer your question about a large battle. If that context is missing, keep your money until you have a useful comparison.

The release is confirmed; the finished game is not here yet

Steam confirms an Early Access release on September 10. BULKHEAD plans roughly one to two years before the full version, while noting that this timing may change. Content, balance and performance can still evolve. We have not played WARDOGS or measured its performance.

I would start with your current PC. If it matches your target profile, I would look at the first documented results before deciding it needs replacing. System requirements help establish a starting point; they do not select the best Canadian hardware purchase on their own.

Intel Arc driver 32.0.101.8993: what it confirms

Intel dates this non-WHQL driver September 10 and officially adds WARDOGS Game On support for Arc B-Series, A-Series and Core Ultra processors with built-in Arc graphics. The official notes provide no FPS gain or game-specific fix.

On a laptop or OEM desktop, Intel warns that its generic package can overwrite the manufacturer-customized driver. If the game already works, check the computer makerโ€™s recommendation first. Game On confirms a support target; it is not a benchmark or a promise that every problem is driver-related.
