RTX 5090 on Vast.ai: Observed Revenue and Quebec Power Cost
Nine observed gross-revenue days from a dual-RTX 5090 host, with the full-load power-cost scenario before fees, tax and hardware recovery.
That is the average of the nine daily entries from August 6–14, 2026. It describes gross revenue for that period, not profit or guaranteed earnings. Rented hours and itemized fees are missing, so occupancy and net income cannot be derived.
Observed series
Period: August 6–14, 2026, according to Mick’s supplied log. The following values are daily gross USD totals logged for the complete host, not for each card separately.

Per-card rented hours, itemized fees and payout statements are not attached to this series. It cannot establish occupancy or verified net income. The host uses two RTX 5090 GPUs, a Ryzen 9 3900X and 128 GB of RAM.
The average describes only these nine observations. It does not predict the next month or future occupancy.
Constant-load power-cost scenario
For this cost scenario, assume 1.3 to 1.4 kW for the complete host. This is not a wattmeter measurement: no wall-power log is attached. At an assumed CAD $0.10/kWh for 24 hours a day, the calculation gives:
This calculation assumes the host remains at that draw for 24 hours. An idle, powered-off or lighter-loaded host costs less; extra ventilation or air conditioning adds cost.
Why this is not net profit
- USD/CAD conversion changes.
- Fees and payout rules must be entered when calculating.
- Recovery of both GPUs, power supplies, storage and platform is not included in gross revenue.
- Tax and management time depend on your situation.
